Registration Fee’s

Due to an increase in costs for particular charges including training court hire and game day fee’s, the Committee has had to increase registration fee’s for Saturday teams by $10 to $180, effective for Winter 2017 season.  Any fee increase is well considered by the Committee and we have noted that this is the first increase in over 18 months.

Million Stars

The One Million Stars Against Violence project has been set up to help raise awareness to the fact that we can all do something to help bring an end to domestic violence, violence on our streets, racism and harassment that is happening RIGHT NOW in our communities.

The short term goal is to weave one million stars for an installation during the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games (GC2018), in partnership with the GC2018 arts and cultural program. The long term goal is to be a beacon of light and courage for each other and not act violently with our words and actions, but with passion and generosity.

Knox Basketball pledged 10,000 stars to be sent up to QLD for the installation at GC2018.

We need YOUR help to get there! And so far we have 137 (14%) in WASPS colors to reach our target of 952.

Each weekend in February KBI are running Star Weaving Workshops at Knox Basketball Stadium, Boronia and State Basketball Centre, Wantirna South.

Come along, bring your friends and family members and make stars in WASPS colours. You can even take star making packs away to make them at home, or on the sidelines while your children are training.

Seasons Awards – Summer 17

Congratulations to our players who have achieved 10,15,20,25 and 30 season milestones.  They are listed on our Facebook page and awards will be presented at the next presentation night.

Committee Positions

Prior to each Annual General Meeting, the Club Secretary calls for nominations for positions.  And there could be no better way than contributing to a great club like Wasps where your children play than being part of the Committee.  If you are interested please don’t hesitate to speak to our Club President, Krissy McNiece on 0412 638 669.
